Consumers of financial products and services face a complex and dynamic financial landscape, characterised by a wide range of opportunities and risks. Drawing on original data from 60 countries and economies worldwide, this second edition of the Consumer Finance Risk Monitor examines issues, trends and challenges affecting financial consumers, and discusses policy responses from policymakers, regulators and supervisors. It explores trends in financial scams and frauds, as well as consumer harms and complaints across five product sectors: banking and payments, credit, insurance, investments and pensions. This report also describes regulatory and supervisory responses taken by oversight bodies to address market conduct risks, including monitoring tools and consumer protection policy responses.
