This study explores the use of vegetable oils and used cooking oil to produce biodiesel intended to partially replace fossil diesel. The biodiesel obtained through transesterification was characterized based on its key physicochemical properties. Among the blends studied, B40 (40% biodiesel, 60% diesel fuel) proved to be the best balance between stability, energy performance, and compliance with standards. Its use reduces CO¿ and sulfur emissions while promoting the recovery of renewable resources and organic waste as part of a sustainable development approach.
