The main objective of this book is to formulate a solid fuel based on ethanol and gelling agents. Formulation tests were conducted using the gelation method and the rheological properties of the gels. We obtained solid fuels with an alcohol content ranging from 65° to 80°GL depending on the type of gelling agents used. These formulated fuels were tested to determine their thermal, physical, and chemical stability. The overall chemical compositions of the fuels were also determined, along with the calculation of their ash content and calorific values, which range from 7,896 to 7,936 kcal/kg. Finally, the socio-environmental study we conducted shows that the use of ethanol contributes to sustainable development and environmental conservation. This fuel reduces the amount of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere.
