Conversación con la oscuridad: 394

To converse with our fears, with terror itself; to converse with Mariana Enríquez. To witness a dialogue between Mariana and her own work. In this book, the remarkable Mariana Enríquez invites us to think of the Gothic as a critical, political, and aesthetic device through a form of writing that moves between the literary, the cultural, and the historical. Structured in five sections, the volume reflects on the need for a distinctly Latin American approach, shaped by trauma, memory, and inequality, while remaining attentive to the Gothic's global dimensions. In doing so, it brings together key aspects of literary analysis and generates a theoretical framework that, through its very structure, becomes a Gothic device. All of this ultimately converges in the poetics, writing, and oeuvre of Mariana Enríquez, one of the most influential Latin American writers of the twenty-first century.
