During the 16th century, the so-called New World by Europeans was the scene of great discoveries and, of course, great confrontations.Spain, France, and England fought for spaces that would guarantee their expansion and control of resources that were absolutely disproportionate for a troubled Europe, which was bleeding to death in successive wars.Florida was involved in these disputes especially from the second half of the century. Spanish ships and towns were attacked by French and English forces as part of the aforementioned dispute. This paper proposes an approach to some of the most relevant events that laid the foundations for the configuration of a new geopolitical order.
