Introduction: shock is a syndrome characterized by generalized tissue hypoperfusion, with cellular hypoxia due to low oxygen delivery, increased oxygen consumption or inadequate oxygen utilization. This research was conducted with the aim of developing a predictive model of shock in patients admitted to intensive care. Methods: an explanatory research was conducted with a prospective cohort design, of a predictive model of shock, in 538 patients admitted Intensive Care of the Hospital Clínico Quirúrgico Hermanos Ameijeiras during the period from January 2017 to December 2022.Conclusions: the predictive model was useful for predicting shock in patients admitted to intensive care.
