This academic paper examines the topic of 'Creativity and people with chronic mental health conditions'. However, in the context of the following discussion of the topic, the creativity of people with chronic mental health conditions will not be examined in terms of its general existence; rather, it is fundamentally recognised as being present in people with chronic mental health conditions as well. Based on an empirical study of the collaborative artwork produced by the art group at 'Durchblick e. V.', the individual creative potential of participants contributing to the collaborative artwork is analysed. The interplay of factors underpinning individual creative potential, the collaborative image-creation process and the resulting final product - the collaborative artwork - will be explained in detail.
