Crescent City Blues: Remembrance of an affair with life, its' desperate trials and tribulations

Michael McGraw is a highly decorated Army war veteran. Thereafter, he was sentenced to six years at the notorious prison, Angola, in the State of Louisiana. The crime for which he was sentenced was not of his nature. However, the prosecuting attorney had the hunger and viciousness of a bloodhound. The verdict: guilty of involuntary manslaughter. The harsh words echoed in his subconscious mind as it kept him awake at nights while he lay staring in the darkness. All the while oblivious to the blaring cries of men and the stench of prison life. That was then, the worst nightmares are behind him. Now, years have gone by, close friends and neighbors are distant memories of a past life. Thereupon, early release for good behavior, he finds himself navigating a world different from the one left behind. Conflicted thoughts with the grief of the life lost and the possibility to meet the woman of his dreams are forever present each waking day.
