Crown of Thorns: A Poem Collection

Before the bloom, there were thorns. In her second poetry collection, Crown of Thorns, Brianna Kilcrease invites readers into a deeply personal journey of heartbreak, transformation, and healing. From the innocence of what we first gather, to the pain we carry, to the strength it takes to begin again, each section builds upon the last to create an emotional journey of resilience and self-discovery.These poems explore the ache of heartbreak, the weight of loss, the search for identity, and the courage it takes to rebuild when everything you thought you knew begins to fall apart. Rooted in both darkness and light, Crown of Thorns is a collection about surviving the seasons that hurt us-and discovering that even in the midst of pain, something within us is still growing.Because sometimes, before we can bloom, we have to learn how to live among the thorns. What to expect: - 40 brand-new poems exploring heartbreak, healing, self-discovery, and resilience- 3 distinct sections that take you through an emotional journey from beginning to end- A visual piece paired with every poem, carefully designed in Canva by the author herself- A curated playlist, featuring a song selected to accompany each poemCrown of Thorns is for anyone who has loved deeply, lost painfully, questioned who they are, or found the courage to begin again.Sometimes the thorns are not the end of the story. Sometimes, they are where the next bloom begins.
