Crystal Ridge Farms: A personal journey through food processing and safety

Crystal Ridge Farms is a figment of my imagination. The people there are not real, not one truck has ever driven into a parking lot there, not one piece of machinery exists there. However, the experiences there are REAL. This is a collection of my memories across the years in food production. I try to give a plain view look into the steps that go into food production. The ideas I share are of one imaginary plant, but they span into real existance in food processing factories across the country. You may work in a facility similar to the one I describe in this book. You might read along and say "that's not how we do it". And there is no doubt that for every food processing plant, there is an individual culture and set of rules to be followed. But this is just a generalization of a glimpse inside the industry as a whole.
