In this study, a teacher of geography and economic education, who teaches at a secondary school in a rural area, is interviewed about her views and experiences with regard to culturally reflective learning in the GW classroom. In addition, the study examines how this information is reflected in the teacher's lesson design. In addition to the interview with the teacher, three of the teacher's general knowledge lessons in a second class will also be videotaped. The design and implementation of the videotaped lessons are first evaluated using a list of criteria based on the objectives of culturally reflective learning under the special aspect of global citizenship education. This is followed by an analysis and comparison of the results of the two individual studies. This is preceded by a theoretical overview of general terms as well as a presentation and explanation of the approach of culturally reflective learning. In the theoretical part, the curricula are also analyzed with regard to culturally reflective aspects and suggestions for practical implementation of these approaches in the teaching of general knowledge are presented.
