Cyberpunk Theologies

These unique essays that come at, and play with, the crossroads of religion and technology. Cyberpunk Theologies is an exercise on hermeneutics, social sciences, and border thinking. A sketchy map of a territory where technology, church, and power are interdependent and much more confused than anyone likes to admit. The essays compiled in this book understand artificial intelligence as an open-ended notion and a catalyst for the underlying theological and ontological questions present in otherwise secular arenas of transhumanism, robotics, biogenetics, and social networks. The contributions come from all over the world (from places like Malawi, Argentina, Zimbabwe, South Korea, South Africa, Brazil, Jamaica, Portugal, Canada, Hong Kong, and the United States) in order to meet an urgent need for an interdisciplinary and international take on the intersections between religion and technology.
