Undergraduate mixed-heritage student and otaku Senri Yuzuki embarks on a villainous quest each evening after class. At the NanaCon fandom convention, he wants to win at the coveted hero vs. villain quest game, despite his six-year losing streak. His cosplay is perfect, and his villain team is ready to conquer. This year he's determined to be victorious until his hero nemesis steals his heart. Senri must choose to LARP his way to quest game victory to earn fandom notoriety or lose his dream to be with the man he loves.Teaching freshman rhetoric on a graduate fellowship isn't what Kohaku Hachimitsu wants for his life. He's also lying to his family about his identity and goals. When he's invited to compete in the convention's quest game alongside a group of other professors, the cosplay mask gives him the confidence to be true to himself-and his dangerous feelings towards his student Senri. As Kohaku fumbles his way through his first cosplay and convention, Kohaku's hero team is pitted against Senri's villain team. Kohaku must choose to embrace who he's become or risk losing his new friends and his new love by returning to the comfort of his shell.
