"Damilola's Tabletop Memories; a foodie's insight into 20 Nigerian Recipes" Milk and honey on the front cover depict significant entities, so also do the herbs and spices which are complimentary images on the front cover; this also portrays a popular Nigerian snack (puff puff), a snack that cuts across the whole of the country... undeniably indulging!As the title reads: "Damilola's Table Top Memories; A foodie's insight into 20 Nigerian Recipes", this simply implies that the meals that I have created recipe contents for in this cookbook are those I was acquainted to whilst growing up and can still relate to at first hand without plagiarising another's work. Worth noting that I have always enjoyed creative writing which when synced with my flare for food and its intricacies (being a foodie), a cookbook such as this (having been in the tea leaves for such a long time i.e. over a decade ago since the first draft was inked) was created to promote originality as opposed to copycatism...Ultimately breaking the conventional mould and way of writing whilst putting a piece such as this together; which entails being more specific, interactive, illustrative whilst embracing clarity and a bit of story telling in a playful manner; some of which might be tagged as "tongue-in-cheek". Thereby amplifying originality; well curated to bring together a readable and tasteful piece of work.Although, some of the writing lingo embraced by me are pretty much as a result of the conversational patterns I have become accustomed to in recent times; largely attributed to spending a greater part of my life on this side of the globe i.e. in England.Altogether, I will like to implore you to please join in on this culinary voyage as we set sail together... promises to be gratifying!
