The topic of my thesis is 'Dance as a fundamental building block in personality development - implementation possibilities in primary schools'. The first part presents selected dance-related personality theories and defines the most important terms. In the second chapter, the dance section, the focus is on dance styles suitable for primary schools, following a brief historical overview. This chapter also focuses on the positive effects of dance. The practical section outlines the typical structure of a dance unit and is supported by visual material. Three selected dance choreographies are then described and exercises are presented that primarily influence personality development. In the research part of my work, I conducted interviews with dance experts and with a primary school teacher who already incorporates dance into her lessons. The interviews focused on the skills and abilities that are promoted and improved through dancing.
