Félix Dupanloup, the influential nineteenth-century French bishop of Orléans, did not produce a single major treatise devoted exclusively to Freemasonry. Rather, his views on Freemasonry appeared within his broader apologetic and political writings defending the Catholic Church against what he saw as the secular and anti-Christian currents of modern society.
