David Wilcox (born September 29, 1942, in Ontario, Oregon; Raised in Vale, Oregon) is a former American football linebacker for the National Football League's San Francisco 49ers between 1964 and 1974. Wilcox was selected to play for seven Pro Bowls and was named All-NFL five times during his career. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000. After graduating from Vale High School in 1961, Dave Wilcox played collegiate football at Boise Junior College (now Boise State University) before transferring to the University of Oregon for his final two campaigns. At Boise he earned junior college All-America honors. A guard on offense and an end on defense, Wilcox played in the Hula Bowl, Coaches' All-America Bowl, and the College All-Star game.
