Deathly Revels: The Fool's Chronicle

The Deathly Revels is a haunting journey through the liminal corridors of history and psyche, where theatre becomes ritual and memory becomes resurrection. In a world suspended between the mediaeval and the mythic, a procession of archetypes: the Fool, the Lady, the Knight, Everyman, moves through a labyrinth of shadow and revelation. Each step is a dance with mortality, each mask a mirror to the soul.Blending gothic atmosphere with symbolic precision, Albin Wallace conjures a narrative that is both elegy and invocation. The Revels unfold as a rite of passage: a descent into the underworld of The Black Death and a re-emergence into the light of theatre. Through language that burns and breathes, Wallace explores the tension between devotion and decay, faith and madness, remembrance and oblivion. At once murder mystery and historical fantasy, The Deathly Revels invites readers to witness the theatre of the sacred and the profane; to stand at the threshold where the living commune with the dead, and where art itself becomes a ritual of survival
