As I moved through the Twelve Steps, I came to a single realization:I had only one problem.It wasn't the drink.It wasn't people, places, or things.It was a violent separation from God -one that existed long before any external struggle took form.Every other problem in my life was an extension of this disconnection.The Twelve Steps do not simply address behavior.They restore what was lost-while exposing the illusion that we were ever meant to play God in the first place.What follows is not a program, but a confrontation:a deeper decision to let go absolutely.To move from self-reliance to trust.From control to surrender.What stands in the way?Fear.The fear of release.The fear of the unknown.But when self-will is exhausted-when every attempt to manage life on our own terms has failed-we may finally become willing to meet God on His terms,instead of our own.
