Demigod

Isadore LeGare is at a breaking point, navigating a bitter divorce and the unrelenting demands of his mother's late-stage dementia. In a moment of drunken desperation, he undergoes regressive hypnosis. Fragments of three lives surface: an Old Hollywood executive haunted by a drowning woman, a murderous French girl on the run, and a prophet whose ancient oracles sound unmistakably familiar. When a video of the session goes viral, Isadore's private unraveling becomes a public spectacle. A small but fervent cult appears on his lawn, convinced he is the physical vessel of their savior. Nothing deters them, not denials, not facts, not even violence. The obsession turns predatory when the person who knows Isadore's deepest fractures joins the fold with an illicit motive.Demigod is a razor-sharp, darkly comic exploration of identity in the age of the influencer, and the consequences of discovering that we are never truly who we think we are.
