Desalination and treatment of seawater from oil spills

In this book, the authors reveal the developed multi-purpose seawater desalination method and a specially designed continuous industrial desalinator, powered by a solar cell and operating round the clock, making it possible to qualitatively and productively desalinate large volumes of seawater and obtain valuable products: gaseous chlorine, oxygen, hydrogen, NaOH, and drinking water in a simple and highly economical way; illustrate the developed method of oil spill cleanup of sea water and a specially designed industrial continuous-type round-the-clock electroflotator, powered by a solar cell.As this apparatus is for continuous action, the use of parallel and series networks of electroflotators permits the control of dirty sea water cleanup by the volume and quality of the obtained clean sea water.
