DESCENT - A Novel of SEALs, Hell, and Salvation: Six warriors. One mission, Eternity on the line

After being briefed, six men of an elite seal team are sent on a mission to rescue an American Soldier being held for interrogation in a building behind enemy lines in Iran. As the seal team enters the building, the building explodes. Then, the souls of the six seal team members travel up to Heaven to meet God. God tells the men that the Devil has become so powerful that he was able to capture his son Jesus and is holding him captive in the lower level of Hell. God sends the six navy seals to rescue Jesus armed with weapons and a golden rod charged with the power of God. The seal team must infiltrate hell, descend through each level of hell battling demons and hideous creatures that they encounter, and reach the lower level of hell. Once there, they must thrust the golden rod into the ground to start a chain reaction to weaken the Devil and drain him of his power long enough to rescue Jesus and bring him out of hell and back to Heaven.
