Design for the Edges: A Led Approach to Neuro Inclusive Workplaces

Organisations are increasingly engaging with neurodiversity, yet many approaches remain fragmented, interpretative, and inconsistent across teams.Design for the Edges introduces a design-led perspective - moving beyond adaptation toward structured organisational thinking.Rather than focusing solely on individual adjustments, this work explores how systems, processes, and organisational environments can be designed with variability in mind.Developed alongside SENSA, a design-led organisational standard for neuro-inclusive workplaces, this short volume captures the thinking behind a more coherent and structured approach.It is intended not as a definitive answer, but as a foundation - offering organisations a way to move from awareness toward consistency, and from interpretation toward design.
