Design of a Fluxgate Magnetometer

The miniaturized "microfluxgate" fluxgate magnetic field sensor enables high-resolution magnetic field measurements relative to its size, making it the market leader in precision micro-magnetometers. To make the most of this sensor, we had to integrate it with an Arduino board and other hardware such as a GPS, an OLED display, and an SD card module. In this context, this paper demonstrates the capabilities of this magnetic field sensor during prospecting, and the addition of these other modules makes it easier for students and geophysicists alike. This magnetometer thus integrates all these modules into a single unit for easier use. With this in mind, we created a graphical interface in MATLAB to better visualize the shape of the magnetic field curve.
