This is a story that takes place in England. It is about a factitious Detective Chief Inspector working for a secret police organization. The main character, Detective Chief Inspector Jordan works on unusual cases. As the book progresses, he is joined by Detective Sargent Susan Jefferies, a very attractive red headed women. Due to the methods used by Jordan in solving crimes, his colleagues nicknamed him Sherlock Holmes. As a Detective Chief Inspector working on unusual crimes takes him all over England working with local Inspectors. Some inspectors are aware of the secret police organization, others are not. In order for him to deduce the evidence, he requires a chair, a cup of coffee, and a pipe filling the air with smoke circling around his head. There is a mystery about his past before becoming a policeman. Due to his past life, he is highly trained and skilled. His ability in solving unusual crimes has brought him admiration by constables to his superiors.
