In recent years, Christian churches have faced challenges in effectively reaching and engaging with people outside the congregation, as well as in fostering and guiding individuals toward becoming disciples who actively participate in the disciple-making process. Can the decline in church attendance be attributed to the absence of effective discipleship? Given the aforementioned issue, this study aims to elucidate the causes and seek a solution through an investigation of the efficacy of a dual homiletical-relational approach in the context of smallgroup discipleship. The intended outcome will be achieved through a comprehensive analysis of pertinent previous case studies within the discipline, scholarly literature that has undergone peer review, and interviews. The extensive analysis will provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of the dual homiletical-relational approach in fostering discipleship.
