This work presents the development and characterizati on of an aerated high-pressurereactor for biotechnological applicati ons. Enzymati c oxidati on reacti ons are investi -gated at pressures up to 15 MPa with the aim of overcoming oxygen mass transferlimitati ons. Opti cal oxygen sensors are employed for reliable online measurementsunder high-pressure conditi ons, and gas-liquid mass transfer is experimentally analyzed.Based on the results, a scalable reactor concept for intensifi ed biotechnologicalprocesses is proposed.
