Bol The study examines the development of the Bambusa vulgaris green wall at the University of Kinshasa, which aims to restore degraded land and urban biodiversity. Observational and experimental methods were used. The results show variation in the number of plants based on their diameter, with 51 specimens measuring between 1.99 and 3.56 cm in height. The correlation between diameter and height is high (r² = 0.96), indicating parallel growth. Three strata of root architecture were observed. Soil analyses reveal deficiencies in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, as well as significantly higher moisture content at the upstream and downstream sampling points compared to the sites along the walls. The soil particle size distribution confirms its sandy nature, with more than 97% sand. This study contributes to addressing soil erosion problems in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
