Devil's Playground: A Sheriff Tom Kodiak Western

A young Marine scout sniper embarks on a mission in the mountains of Nuristan Province, Afghanistan, with his three-man team. After a tragic incident, only two members survive, both left deeply scarred. Staff Sergeant Tom Kodiak returns to the Big Bend region of Southwest Texas as a changed man. His bravery during a flash flood earns him local hero status and unexpectedly positions him as Brewster County Sheriff, just as a border war erupts. Sheriff Kodiak confronts a ruthless drug kingpin and his cartel, backed by a violent motorcycle gang and a corrupt member of his own department. The situation escalates when his childhood sweetheart, Aggie Monroe, is kidnapped and taken to the cartel's mountain stronghold to lure him in. Determined to rescue Aggie, Kodiak, along with his loyal cow dog Bullseye, plunges into danger. As the odds stack against him, he receives unexpected assistance from surprising allies.
