Diary of a Steam Powered Surgeon

Greetings distinguished reader. I, Edward Thorpeington, discovered this discarded diary during my last philanthropic mission down to the negative situa. As someone born to the towering heights of Apex-Zenith, I find this perspective of the Below and the worlds around it quite fascinating. I've therefore decided to reproduce the manuscript, incorporate chapter headings for comprehensibility, and send it off to be published, as I believe these stories of depravity may be informative to the enlightened masses. This account covers one man caught betwixt dutiful roles and engaging opportunities, between timeworn ideals and modern dilemmas. Although he may not always make the correct decision or come to the correct conclusion, especially with hindsight of the current era, he at least endeavors to tell us his truth. I indulge you to listen to what his truth has to say about our everchanging world.
