Multe sensuri conotative sunt reprezentate de vocative ¿i imperative. Interjec¿iile sunt p¿r¿i de vorbire care nu denumesc, ¿i deci nu au sensuri denotative, ci doar sensuri afective, care sugereaz¿ st¿ri suflete¿ti ¿i volitive. Onomatopeele sunt ''cuvinte-motivate'', care prin elementele lor sonore imit¿ zgomote din natur¿. Acestea sunt elemente lingvistice primare, anterioare construc¿iei Turnului Babel, 'c¿ci pân¿ atunci töi vorbeau o singur¿ limb¿'6 The Lord said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."
