A Digital Flora of Theni District was created to preserve this knowledge using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQUERY. The research aims to protect ethnomedicinal practices and species via conservation strategies and DNA barcoding. For authentication, Physalis minima's chloroplast DNA was analyzed, showing a 100% similarity with existing data, while Physalis walteri showed 99.79% similarity. The study underscores the importance of preserving traditional healing practices for future health benefits.
