In October 2024, Puy du Fou Spain announced its first historical story contest. More than 1,850 candidates signed up, an absolute record for participation, proof if ever it were needed that Spain has a taste for history. The stories in this book are the works of the twelve finalists. By publishing them, we not only wanted to pay tribute to their authors, but also--and above all--to offer readers a series of immersions into some of the eras, atmospheres, and epics that have shaped this great country that is Spain. We love to see that, in this land that has given so many brilliant authors to humanity, there is no shortage of talent. Perhaps there is a lack of opportunities to express it? This is and will continue to be the commitment of Puy du Fou Spain: to make people fall in love with their roots. To root creativity in great history, intertwining past and fiction to give us dreams that are our own, born of our land and our blood. May the window be opened onto a past that does not smell of staleness, but inspires, that is the raw material of creativity and an essential condition for a serene, orderly, peaceful pride.
