John Otse Egwa along with his son, Mathew, whose mother is a white French woman, land in Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja, Nigeria, after years of being westernised in France. Their short stay in the country, a land full of rich culture and art diversity, brings out a tug of war between two different codes of behaviour for them.Further, the visit leads to innumerable awakenings in both son and father about their African roots. The father is concerned about whether his son will like or abhor the country of his birth. Some events are dreadful for both, and some lead to the eruption of their hidden love and care for their fatherland.
