Originally written for his immediate family to tell the story of growing up in an Italian-American family in New York City, Andy's book offers fascinating insights for a broader audience. Divided into two parts, Book One is titled Watch the Hands. In this second book in the series, Don't Listen to the Mouth, Andy tells us the story of his political career, family changes, and the fascinating persons he met and worked with. Andy was 7th County Executive of Westchester County, in office from 1998 to 2009. Prior to being elected County Executive, Andy was County Clerk of Westchester County from 1982 to 1994. This second volume also includes the dramatic events at the close of the 20th Century in New York, up to and through the world-changing bombing of the World Trade Center in 2001, in which Andy's administration served a critical recovery role. Through his experiences and unique perspective, Andy brings a wealth of knowledge and intriguing stories to the page of the essential second-generation European immigrant story of the previous century. Book one traces his life from his 1936 birth in The Bronx, to his election as Westchester County Executive. Book 2 covers his life as Westchester County Executive to his recent 90th Birthday, revealing his perspectives and motivations for life, and what challenges he faced in making his life a meaningful journey.
