After successful missions in Operations Desert Wind and Distal Watchman, Katy Morgan and the Delta Whiskey hostage rescue team are tasked with rescuing American doctors and scientists being held at the virology institute in Wuhan, China. It has become obvious to President JoAnne Rush and the National Security Council that the institute is participating in gain-of-function research to weaponize viruses against the U.S. and her allies. The mission for Katy Morgan and the team is twofold: find the scientists and determine what viruses are being studied at the institute. Can the team carry out the president's orders? Can they rely on the intelligence information provided by Culper, a source deeply imbedded in the institute? And how will they get out of China after finding the hostages?
