This project aims to establish a gravity-fed drinking water supply system in the Maromitety Fokontany. To achieve this, the following structures were constructed: - A catchment structure to collect water from the Ampisokina spring; - An iron removal structure to precipitate the iron present in the water-in the form of ferrous ions (Fe²¿)-as iron hydroxide (Fe(OH)¿); - A 55 m³ water storage tank; 12 water fountains, 2 handwashing stations (EPP and CEG), and 1 community connection at the CSB. All pipes in the network-whether supply lines or distribution lines-are made of HDPE. Management of the network has been delegated to a private operator under a lease agreement.
