In just a few decades, it seamlessly passed from school canteens to the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, which paid it a fitting tribute in the ??diter Design? exhibition in 2007. Gigogne is made in tempered glass which is 2,5 times stronger than normal glass and virtually unbreakable. If Duralex tempered glass does break, it bursts into a multitude of blunt fragments, without risk of injury.
