Its motto is 'To arrive at the edge of the world's knowledge, seek out the most complex and sophisticated minds, put them in a room together and have them ask each other the questions they are asking themselves.' Currently, its main activity is maintaining the Edge.org website, where it produces a free web publication edited by publisher and businessman John Brockman.The Third Culture is a term used to describe the growing movement towards (re)integration of literary and scientific thinking and is a nod toward British scientist C. P. Snow's concept of The Two Cultures of science and the humanities
