Effectiveness of hydrotherapy in school lessons

Relaxation and concentration are not yet taught as subjects in schools. However, these are fundamental prerequisites for pupils to be enthusiastic, attentive, alert, eager to learn and happy in their work. Recent experience in special education, on the other hand, shows that children are more aggressive, restless, overweight, clumsy, less sociable and less compassionate than in the past. These problems can be counteracted by health education that views people, 'whether big or small', as a whole. The Kneipp health and relaxation concept succeeds in raising awareness of the importance of the three pillars of body, soul and spirit. It also teaches pupils how to take responsibility for their own health. The method is as simple as it is effective: the concept developed by Sebastian Kneipp almost two hundred years ago (cf. abavo n.d., n.p.).
