Inspired by a schoolteacher friend, who was looking for vignettes to read her students after lunch, that would leave them with a memorable feeling, author Wolfgang Schultz began imagining a series of kid-centered adventures. Eggie's Excellent Excursions is a humorous collection set at school and out in the community, full of a diversity of students facing challenges and working past them both by themselves and with the help of their friends. As a professional wrestler who entertained at many schools, children's hospital wings, and community events, Schultz learned a lot about young people's cares and concerns. After retiring from wrestling, he began studying psychology, deepening his understanding of child development. He folded those insights into the book.Written in forty-four episodes, Eggie's Excellent Excursions becomes several books in one, making it ideal for children with limited attention spans, ages four to twelve. The younger children will enjoy hearing what school is like and the different friends they might meet, and the older children can think about if they'd handle different problems the same way the characters have. Each episode ends with a recap of morals and lessons as well as questions guiding readers on to the next episode.
