Examining and Elucidating the Origins and Relationship Between the Xia and Shang Dynasties Within the Global Bronze Civilization System¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿Based on the widely accepted academic classification of human civilization progression-"Chiefdom-Ancient State-Kingdom-Empire"-and the actual developmental trajectory of early Chinese history, the author divides the special period from approximately 4000 BCE to 1046 BCE-during which "China" was conceived, born, and initially developed-into three distinct phases: the Pre-China Era, the Proto-China Era, and the Early China Era.The scope of the Early China Era as described in this book roughly spans from 1800 BCE to 1046 BCE. In archaeological terms, this period marks the transition of prehistoric China from the Ancient State era into the early to middle stages of the Kingdom era. Within the framework of traditional Chinese historical chronology, this period extends from the late Xia dynasty to the end of the Shang dynasty.The author primarily draws upon archaeological findings and the achievements of scholars in interpreting oracle bone inscriptions and bronze inscriptions.
