"In this volume, through the analysis of narrative texts and not only, an attempt is made to follow the transformations affecting women over time, both as a subject of literary production and as a woman creator or, more generally, as a protagonist of discursive fields traditionally attributed to men. The seven contributions in the book, ranging from Latin American literature to linguistics and Spanish literature, analyze discourses of different kinds - narrative, ideological, journalistic, advertising, theoretical, etc., which view women as subject or object, in order to highlight, on the one hand, the changes related to the female subject, the construction of her image and her discourse over time, also as a function of the evolution of her role in society; on the other, to offer new perspectives for the exegesis of female literary creation and criticism"--
