El Llanto del Aire / the Cry of Air

In a distant future where humanity has mastered interstellar travel and is expanding across the galaxy, the most habitable planets are occupied by the wealthiest countries of Mother Earth, while the harsh and inhospitable planets are ceded to poor nations. A multicultural detachment of corporate mercenaries, made up of both men and women, is tasked with continuing the terraforming--abandoned ninety years earlier under mysterious circumstances--of one of these second-rate planets, Cuicatlán, "the land of song," a mauve-colored world where the wind whistles permanently in a mournful lament. Terraforming is a simple, automated process, but the planet holds a dangerous secret that has already claimed several lives, and what was supposed to be a routine mission turns into a fight for survival.
