Empire Before Prophet: Prophet

What if the birthplace of Islam wasn't Mecca, but the Christian heartland of the Levant? What if "MHMD" was never a man's name at all?For centuries, the world has accepted that Islam emerged from Mecca in the seventh century. But what does the archaeological evidence reveal? In The Praised One, researcher and writer H. David Manning follows a trail of coins, inscriptions, and early mosque alignments pointing to a radically different origin, one centered not in Arabia, but in the Christian Levant. Drawing on years of research into scholarly works and the latest discoveries, this groundbreaking work demonstrates how "MHMD," the Praised One, was originally a Jewish title for God, then a praise title for Jesus, before being transformed into the historical figure we know as Muhammad.
