Bol There is a lot of research in Brazil on equivalence relations, and in order to organize this output and facilitate access to it, this book seeks to identify and analyze Brazilian dissertations and theses that involved equivalence relations in empirical research with humans. The period of the selected publications was from 1998 to 2007. The book consists of three chapters. Chapter 1 analyzes the identification data of the dissertations/theses and the words/expressions used in the introduction to refer to equivalence relations. The objective of Chapter 2 was to identify and analyze the definitions presented in the introduction, especially the definitions of equivalence relations and their properties. Finally, Chapter 3 aimed to collect, classify, and analyze the references cited by the authors. A total of 111 dissertations/theses were selected, definitions of 703 concepts were located, 2,386 different references were identified, and a database with this information was made available. This organization will likely contribute to the search for references by researchers in the field and the proposal of new studies.
