The goal of this book is to help you understand the spiritual gifts that each of you have been given. Everyone has been invited onto the level playing field of the one foundation of Christ. What you see in the book of Acts is the risen Christ who sent his Spirit to continue his ministry, but instead of it being one person or group of persons it was a body. What I am going to show you is that when Paul wrote about spiritual gifts in Ephesians 4:11, Romans 12 and I Corinthians 12 it's not about an individual, but a functioning body. We are each unique and all are needed. In the body of Christ there is no such thing as insignificance. As you come along this journey with me, I am asking you to be humble and dedicated to the cross because we don't get to choose our gifts. Our part is learning to identify our gifts, develop our gifts and in humility do our part until the ascended Christ sets his feet on the Mount of Olives subduing his enemies. Until then we are commissioned with his power and wisdom to fulfill the mission.
