Enemy Inside the Gates

The United States is under attack. The primary method is not bombs or bullets, but information. For a century, first the Soviet Union, and now Russia and China, have conducted influence operations against the United States designed to destroy America as an independent, democratic, capitalist country. These attackers have had different ideological foundations and strategic goals, but they all aim fundamentally to change America in ways that facilitate the achievement of their ambitions. Their sophisticated, enduring techniques have recruited a large and growing number of American allies who help them undermine traditional American freedoms. Each attacker has developed techniques and achieved influence successes that build upon the work of the others. Enemy Inside the Gates documents these activities and explains how our enemies have constructed an army of American collaborators, mostly from the political left, who now threaten the existence of United States as we long have known it.
