Dr. Toossi earned his B.S. from the Sharif University of Technology in Iran and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, all in Mechanical Engineering. He continued postdoctoral studies at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, where he focused on atmospheric aerosols, air pollution dispersion modeling, and flame propagation. At present, Dr. Toossi is a professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at California State University, Long Beach. He teaches courses in heat transfer, combustion, and hybrid electric vehicle design, and conducts research on hydrogen energy storage systems. Additionally, he serves as the co-chair of the CSULB Sustainability Task Force.
