1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.1:1 I begyndelsen skabte Gud himlen og jorden.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.1:2 Og Jorden var uformelig og tom; og mørke var over dybet. Og Guds Ånd bevægede sig over vandene.1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.1:3Og Gud sagde: Lad der være lys, og der blev lys.1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.1:4Og Gud så lyset, at det var godt, og Gud skilte lyset fra mørket.1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.
